Armed man robs fast-food restaurant

A man robbed a Glen Burnie fast-food restaurant through its drive-through window, Anne Arundel County police said.

Employees of the Hardees at 1699 Crain Highway told police that the robber approached the window on foot about 4:30 a.m. Monday, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The clerk handed it over and the robber fled behind a nearby shopping plaza. He was described as black, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds, and wearing a black-and-gray hooded sweat shirt, white baseball cap, jeans and white sneakers.

Cab driver beaten, robbed in Severn

A taxicab driver was beaten and robbed when he arrived to pick up a fare in Severn, Anne Arundel County police said.

The victim, 49, told police that about 3:45 a.m. Saturday he drove his cab to the 8200 block of Deerfield Road, where he was approached by three unidentified men. They hit and kicked him, stole personal property and cash from him and fled.

The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Baltimore man charged in robbery

A Baltimore man has been charged with robbing a Glen Burnie gas station at gunpoint, Anne Arundel County police said.

A clerk at the Citgo at 7237 Ritchie Highway said that the robber entered about 11 p.m. Sunday, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied and the robber fled on foot.

A police canine unit found the suspect behind B.G.'s Car Wash. Robert Arvin Boch, 38, was arrested.
