Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Southeastern

Robbery -- Police were seeking a man who robbed Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits in the 3400 block of Pulaski Highway of less than $40 about 7 p.m. Saturday. After the man entered the restaurant and asked for french fries, he suddenly jumped over the counter, while keeping one hand in his pocket as though armed with a handgun, and removed the money from a cash register.

Southern

Assault -- Two men were arguing in the 1300 block of E. Fort Ave. about 3 a.m. Friday when one struck the other in the face with his fists and kicked him. The victim was in fair condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. A warrant charging the other man with aggravated assault was to have been issued by a District Court commissioner.

Arson -- A 1993 Toyota Camry that was reported stolen Aug. 18 in Anne Arundel County was set ablaze about 3 a.m. Friday while the vehicle was parked in the 600 block of Cherrycrest Road. The burned car's tags were registered to another vehicle.

Robbery try -- Police were seeking a man who attempted to rob Burger King in the 1400 block of W. Patapsco Ave. on Friday afternoon. After entering, the man gave an employee a note telling her to open the register and give him money. When the employee asked the man if he was serious, he turned and walked out the door without any money. Police said the incident was captured on a surveillance camera.

Stolen vehicle -- A green 1993 Dodge Caravan with tags ABW 34S was stolen Thursday in the 4000 block of Third St. in Brooklyn.

Cutting/arrest -- Two women were arguing and fighting in the 1300 block of Nanticoke St. about 8 a.m. Friday when one cut the other on the left hand and back with a sharp weapon. The victim, 24, was reported in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Arrested in the 1100 block of Sergeant St. and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon was Katherine Angela Tatem, 33, of Crownsville in Anne Arundel County.

Pikesville

Murder try -- Police were seeking three men, two armed with handguns, who forced their way into an apartment in the 6800 block of Liberty Road about 7 a.m. Saturday and pushed a male, 28, to the floor. Moments later, an 18-year-old female resident was fleeing the apartment when one of the gunman fired shots at her that missed. In the apartment, at least one gunman fired shots at the man on the floor but missed him.

White Marsh

Burglary -- Copper tubing valued at $1,000 was stolen over the weekend from a heat pump of a house under construction in the 5600 block of New Forge Road.

Burglaries -- Over the weekend, someone removed copper tubing - all valued at $2,000 - from two heat pumps outside two homes under construction in the 11000 block of Lipscomb Way.

Burglary -- Police were seeking the man who entered Northeastern Supply in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway on Friday and stole welding equipment valued at nearly $1,100. The man abandoned the property when a bystander saw him.

Wilkens

Robbery try -- A man, 22, was walking down an alley in the 100 block of Westowne Road about 11 p.m. Friday when a gunman demanded his money. For no apparent reason, the gunman fled without robbing the victim.
