Matchup -- Gettysburg (1-1) at Johns Hopkins (1-1)

Time -- 7

Site -- Homewood Field

Outlook -- On paper, the Centennial Conference opener for both teams looks like a mismatch. Hopkins has won 11 of the past 12 meetings and had a season-opening victory two weeks ago over Hampden-Sydney, 17-16, the same team that trounced Gettysburg last week, 54-7. Also, the Blue Jays have been dominant in Centennial openers, winning 14 of their past 16, and they have been impressive at home Friday nights with a 21-7-1 record under coach Jim Margraff. Senior safety Zach Rosswog had a career-high 15 tackles in another strong defensive effort by Hopkins last week, but the offense bogged down in an 18-9 loss to Randolph-Macon. Gettysburg has two of the top offensive players in the conference, quarterback Matt Flynn (463 passing yards, five touchdown passes) and running back Tom Sturges (league-high 294 rushing yards).
