Catch the Baltimore Irish Festival this weekend and experience Irish culture, food and a variety of live performances by Celtic rock musicians and traditional Irish bands, including Black 47, the Hedge Band and O'Malley's March. Irish food and beverages will be served by city restaurants such as Ryan's Daughter, James Joyce Pub, Maggie Moore and Tir Na Nog. There will also be hurling, Gaelic football, curragh (rowing) and step-dancing demonstrations throughout the festival.

PORTFEST 2007

Experience the Port of Baltimore this weekend at the second annual Portfest 2007. There will be bus tours of the Dundalk and Seagirt marine terminals as well as tours of the Rukert and CNX terminals and the Liberty ship John W. Brown. Visitors also will have a chance to participate in the Steamship Trade Association's Charity Walk-a-Thon and see exhibits provided by 24 state, federal and nongovernment agencies.

Political activist Ralph Nader, former United Press International White House bureau chief Helen Thomas and filmmaker John Waters will discuss free speech, freedom of the press, artistic expression and censorship Monday, which is Constitution Day. The Maryland Institute College of Art and the ACLU-Maryland are co-sponsoring the symposium.
