THE VICTIMS

Barry O. Newman, 29, who was shot in the 200 block of S. Calhoun St. on Aug. 31, died Friday. His death was classified as a homicide.

A man apparently killed his girlfriend in their house in the 3600 block of Elmley Ave. in Belair-Edison in Northeast Baltimore. Police said he then drove the woman's children to a relative's house, dropped them off and said he was going away for a long time. Police said the man then returned to the Elmley Avenue house and killed himself. The female victim has been identified as Khonji Walton, 27.
