FIELD HOCKEY

No. 14 Westminster @ No. 10 Winters Mill

WHEN -- Tomorrow, 6:15 p.m. OUTLOOKAfter starting the season with a 2-0 win over No. 12 Century, the Owls will try to knock off another ranked opponent. A year ago, they defeated the Falcons 4-0 en route to a nine-win season. Winters Mill dropped a 3-2 decision to North Carroll to start its season.

CROSS COUNTRY

Westminster Invitational

WHEN -- Tuesday, 4 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- This meet always is a good indicator of what to expect in cross country. Francis Scott Key will attempt to defend its boys title, while Century, South Carroll and Westminster will be among the contenders to succeed girls champion Centennial, which will not participate in the meet.

FOOTBALL

North Carroll @ Francis Scott Key

WHEN -- Friday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- A year ago, North Carroll gave the Eagles a battle in the season opener before falling, 13-7. This time, the Panthers are looking to finish the job and take a step toward their third winning season in three decades. Quarterback Stefan Mitchell leads North Carroll's spread offense, while Francis Scott Key's Brad Martz may be the top running back in the Blue Ridge Conference.
