Annapolis teen held in armed robbery

An Annapolis teen has been charged in the robbery of another Newtowne 20 teen.

Police said two young men approached a 19-year-old resident of Newtowne Drive about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday and while one pointed a gun at the teen, a second stole his wallet.

Reco Ramon Johnson, 19, also of Newtowne Drive, was arrested the next night. He is charged with armed robbery, assault and related offenses and was being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $35,000 bond. Police are still searching for a second suspect.

Suspect sought in shooting of boy, 16

Police responding to a call for shots fired about 4 a.m. Friday found a 16-year-old Annapolis boy with gunshot wounds on Bens Drive. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Annapolis police are seeking witnesses and a motive.
