St. Andrew's United to hold yard sale

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Spaces are $15 for a 10-by-10 foot space, and $5 for tables.

Reservations are suggested.

Concessions will be available throughout the day.

Science society to meet Sept. 5

The Christian Science Society will hold its monthly meeting 5 p.m. Sept. 5 and every Sunday at 101 First Ave., SE, Glen Burnie.

The focus will be on examining a spiritual approach to health and healing.

Woods Memorial to bless educators

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. in Severna Park, will honor and bless professional educators and administrators at Sunday's 11 a.m. service.

Anne Arundel County public schools Superintendent Kevin Maxwell will attend.

A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.

Grace Baptist to hold back-to-school party

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach, 17 Somerset Road in Pasadena, will hold a back-to-school party at 2 p.m. Sept. 1.

This event is for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Older children are welcome to assist with the event.

Unity by the Bay, 836 Ritchie Highway, Suite 18 in Severna Park, will hold a "Spiritual Cinema" at 7 p.m. Sept. 7.

"Living Luminaries" is the feature that will be presented.

Bingo Blast jackpot is $500

Church of the Good Shepherd, 1451 Furnace Ave., Glen Burnie, will hold a Bingo Blast at 2 p.m. Sept. 9.

A chicken platter, coffee, sodas and cards are included for a donation of $20.

The jackpot is $500. Doors open at 1 p.m. in the non-smoking establishment.

All are invited to concert, reception

The St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and Day School will present "A Taste of the Season to Come" at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at 4 Wallace Manor Road in Edgewater.

This concert will feature many of the artists that will perform during the coming season and a buffet reception.

This is show is free, but donations are welcome and tax-deductible.

Church rally, picnic set for Sept. 9

Jenkins Memorial Church, 133 Riviera Drive in Pasadena, will hold its church rally and community picnic at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at Riviera Beach Community Park.

There will be food, beverages, games, face painting and other family activities.

This event is free.

Harvest Festival is Sept. 15

Wesley Grove United Methodist Church, 1320 Dorsey Road, Hanover, will hold its 27th annual Harvest Festival and flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15.

The event will have food, crafts, vendors, baked goods, plants and produce.
