Correction

August 21, 2007

An article in Thursday's Maryland section incorrectly reported that Brooklyn Park Middle School had failed to meet state standards this past school year because a small group of African-American and special education students had not passed the Maryland School Assessments. In fact, the school did not meet standards because a small group of students who qualified for free and reduced price meals, as well as special education students, did not pass.

An article in the Maryland section Aug. 14 incorrectly stated that a chattel bill approved by the Baltimore City Council would require landlords to store household goods of people who are evicted. That provision was struck from the bill before it was approved.

The Sun regrets the errors.
