Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Arrest -- Lamar Williams, 20, of the 800 block of Avondale Road was arrested Tuesday near East Baltimore Street and Highland Avenue on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. Willliams is charged with the beating of Tarik Tynes, 35, whose body was found May 19 at the Executive Inn Motel in the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway. Tynes' death was ruled a homicide June 20. Williams was being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Stabbing -- John Hinton, 32, remained in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach Tuesday. Hinton drove to the 300 block of E. 24th St. about noon, where he fell to the pavement. He was unable to tell police who stabbed him or where the attack occurred. Police said he had $4,000 in his pockets.


Armed robbery -- Police were seeking three men, one armed with a handgun and wearing a police-type badge on a chain from his neck, who robbed a man, 19, of $20 in the 500 block of McMechen St. in Bolton Hill about 1 a.m. yesterday.


Assault -- A couple were driving in the 1000 block of E. Belvedere Ave. about 8 p.m. Tuesday when someone fired a shot that shattered one of the car's windows. There were no injuries. It was not known whether the shooting was deliberate or an errant shot.


Shootings -- Police were seeking whoever shot a man, 33, in the left arm and a woman, 45, in the right side as the couple stood in an alley in the 3700 block of Manchester Ave. about 9 p.m. Monday. Both were treated at Sinai Hospital.


Stolen vehicle -- While a man was in a gas station in the 3500 block of Pulaski Highway early Tuesday purchasing cigarettes, someone stole his red 2001 Ford pickup truck with Maryland tags 108 881 while the keys were in the ignition.


Stolen vehicle -- A red 2001 Freightliner tractor with Maryland tags 540 F95 was stolen Monday in the 6300 block of Efficiency Way.

Stolen vehicle -- A gold 1995 Lexus with tags 1BH E07 was stolen in the 1600 block of Cypress St. on Monday.

Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a black 1998 Toyota Tacoma with tags 50K 926 that was stolen Saturday or Sunday in the 1600 block of Patapsco St.

Burglary -- A video game system, a camcorder and a computer - all valued at nearly $3,000 - were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 100 block of Aspinwood Way.
