Rockin' homecoming

The lowdown -- After spending weeks on the road crisscrossing the country, local rock outfit J-Roddy Walston and the Business comes back to Baltimore tomorrow for a gig at the Ottobar. Want some raw and dirty rock 'n' roll? Go see these guys live. Their debut album, Hail Mega Boys, came out earlier this year.

Rooney at Recher

The lowdown -- Rooney, a Los Angeles rock band known for a sound reminiscent of the British invasion and 1980s pop, visits the Recher Theatre on Saturday. The group released a second album, Calling the World, in July.

Last laughs

The lowdown -- Washington native Rob Cantrell, who made his debut as a comedian on NBC's hit show Last Comic Standing, will make his third appearance at the Baltimore Comedy Factory tonight through Saturday.
