Leno A. "Tony" Giorgio, 82, of Hedgesville, passed away on August 10, 2007 at the VAMC in Baltimore, MD. Born November 1, 1924 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Antonio Augustus Giorgio and Josephine Rossi Giorgio. Leno faithfully served our country in the United States Army. He was in Air Offensive in Europe, Ardennes, Normandy, Northern France and Central Europe. He was a member of Special Forces and was a Prisoner of War in the concentration camp during WWII, for 18 months, 27 days and 7 hours. Leno was a craftsman by trade, and retired from PriestField Pastorial Center in Kearneysville, WV. He was a member of the VFW post 896 and the American Legion. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Leo and Veto Giorgio. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Betty Jo Stallard Giorgio, three daughters, Rose Hilgartner, Johanna Giorgio and Patricia Lee Middleton, his one step daughter, Deborah Kay Stallard Hines, two step sons, Guyowen B. Hall, Jr., and James Arthur Hall, a sister, Eva Szron of Bel Aire, MD and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 11 AM at Rosedale Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Dan Dugan officiating, Martinsburg, West Virginia. Pallbearers will be James A. Hall, Guyowen B. Hall, Jr., Michael A. Hudson, Justin Hall and Eric Hines. Condolences may be sent to www.mem.com. Arrangements are by Rosedale Funeral Home and Cemetery, Martinsburg, West Virginia
