Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Eastern

Shooting -- A male, 16, was shot in a hand about 8:30 p.m. yesterday in the 1400 block of N. Eden St. and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

2Central

Theft -- Someone entered an art gallery in the 1100 block of N. Charles St. on Aug. 2 and stole a diamond ring valued at nearly $4,500 that a gallery employee left unattended on a desk. The theft was reported Saturday.

Western

Shooting -- Several men were standing outside a house in the 500 block of N. Fulton Ave. about 2:45 a.m. Saturday when an unidentified gunman opened fire, striking a man, 26, several times. The victim, along with the other men, fled into the house. The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was reported in good condition.

Southern

Stolen vehicle/arrest -- George Hall Jr., 39, of the 100 block of W. Jeffrey St., was arrested over the weekend and charged with stealing a 1998 Mercury van parked near his home the same day. The car was recovered.

Armed robbery -- Police were seeking a gunman who robbed a motorist of $150, a cell phone and his car keys about 10 a.m. Wednesday while the victim was at a car wash in the 1000 block of W. Patapsco Ave.

Baltimore County

Wilkens

Burglary -- A DVD player and a radio -- valued at a total of $430 -- were stolen between Aug. 7 and Saturday from a house in the 100 block of Twin Circle Way by someone who entered through a rear door.

Cockeysville

Burglary -- At least 18 DVDs and $100 were stolen between Wednesday and Saturday from an apartment in the first block of Misty Wood Circle by someone who entered through a door. Police said the intruder also drank half a cup of soda.

Burglary -- A United States passport and a Russian passport, cash and jewelry -- all valued at more than $5,000 -- were removed between Aug. 7 and Saturday from a safe in a house in the 1300 block of Malbay Road by someone who entered through a rear window.

Burglary -- Jewelry and change -- all worth more than $1,200 -- were stolen from a house in the 100 block of Marykay Road by someone who entered through a basement door between August 6 and Friday.

Franklin

Burglary -- Someone broke into a storage trailer outside a house in the first block of Sacred Heart Lane in Reisterstown between Aug. 7 and Saturday and removed $600.

Pikesville

Robbery -- A man, 20, was walking in the 1000 block of 7 Mile Lane about 10 p.m. Friday when he was attacked by several younger males, one armed with a brick, who robbed him of his wallet containing more than $200.
