What to do: This Week in Atlantic City

1. Shop the outlets -- Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk, celebrates the grand opening of its 40-store expansion today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with free entertainment, activities and prizes. 2. Visit the Steel Pier -- For what could be the last time. After this season, the historic attraction is scheduled for demolition to make way for condos. 3. Travel the Spice Road -- The new eateries and shops at Trump's Taj Mahal may feel like a trip to India. 4. Play chicken -- Well, not exactly. The Chicken Bone Beach Jazz Concert series takes place at Kennedy Plaza on the Boardwalk every Thursday 5. Find paradise -- Harrah's Casino has a 90-foot-high dome that includes a "Tropical Paradise" with a lagoon, waterfall and rain forest.

BEACH BET: Ocean City: Tournament is a must-catch

Professional and amateur anglers will hit the high seas outside Ocean City this week in search of white marlin at the 34th annual White Marlin Open, the largest billfishing tournament in the world. If you don't have your sea legs and aren't participating in the tournament, hit the docks and watch the fisherman show off their trophy catches at the daily weigh-ins.

The tournament runs Monday through Friday. Weigh-ins are from 4 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. daily at the Harbour Island Marina, 14th Street and the Bay. The awards ceremony is Saturday at the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel, 101st Street and the ocean. Spectator admission to the tournament is free.
