Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Arrest -- A boy, 17, was arrested yesterday at the city's Juvenile Detention Center in the 300 block of N. Gay St. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him as an adult with attempted murder and a handgun violation. Police said Kenneth Bonaparte, of the 1400 block of Argyle Ave., was attending a program for juvenile offenders at the center about 1:30 p.m. when he was arrested. Bonaparte is charged with shooting another male July 26 in the 3900 block of Reisterstown Road and was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.


Robbery -- Police were seeking two men who entered Biltmore Suites Hotel in the 300 block of W. Madison St. about 3:15 p.m. yesterday, tied up the owner and robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money.

Carjacking -- A woman was standing outside her Pontiac parked in the 300 block of N. Eutaw St. about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and talking on her cell phone when a man got into the vehicle. When the woman approached the car and ordered the man out, he sped off, striking the woman's right leg. The car was found abandoned a short time later in the 300 block of Cathedral St.

Robbery -- A man, 35, was walking in the 1500 block of Park Ave. about 10 p.m. Tuesday when two younger males, one with a handgun, robbed him of $170.

Robbery -- Police were seeking two teenage males who assaulted a boy, 14, in the 1800 block of Park Ave. about 3 p.m. Wednesday and robbed him of $20.

Robbery -- A gunman entered the Peanut Shop in the first block of W. Baltimore St. about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday and fled moments later with more than $100.


Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 3700 block of Keswick Road through a window Wednesday and stole a video camera, an iPod and a laptop computer. The property was valued at $2,700.


Armed robbery -- A deliveryman for Kennedy Fried Chicken in the 400 block of S. Eden St. was approaching a house in the 100 block of S. High St. with a food order about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday when he was assaulted by two men, one with a handgun, who robbed him of more than $100 and two submarine sandwiches. Police said the house was vacant.

Cutting -- A man, 37, was walking in the 200 block of N. Conkling St. about 1 a.m. Wednesday when he was stopped by another man who asked, "Where's your buddy?" When the victim ignored the man and continued walking, the other man pulled out a knife and cut the victim on the upper left leg, causing a deep laceration. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Anyone knowing the identity of the assailant is urged to call 410-396-2422.

Stolen vehicle -- A red 1995 Dodge Dakota with tags 00N 801 was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday in the 4600 block of Foster Ave.


Burglary -- Someone broke into Caplan's Discount Liquors in the 600 block of N. Carey St. through the wall of a vacant dwelling next door about 1 a.m. Wednesday and stole $100 and several Maryland scratch-off lottery tickets.

Baltimore County

Burglary -- Cash and an iPod -- all valued at $350 -- were stolen Tuesday from a house in the first block of Boulder Crest Court.

Burglary -- A Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from a garage in the 700 block of Chesaco Ave. The vehicle was found abandoned a short time later.


Burglary -- A dirt bike valued at $2,000 was stolen Wednesday from a shed in the first block of Propeller Drive in Middle River.
