Hospice to present talks on grief, loss

Laurel Burnett, a bereavement counselor from Hospice of the Chesapeake, will present "Growing String in the Seasons of Like: The Journey of Grief," from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., at the Pascal Senior Center, 125 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie, on the following dates:

Aug. 8, Recognizing and Honoring Loss in Our Daily Lives.

Aug. 15, Cumulative Loss.

Aug. 22, The Power of Reminiscing.

Coupons are good at farmers' markets

Farmers' market coupons are available this summer for seniors age 60 and older who meet income eligibility guidelines.

Seniors must provide proof of enrollment in an assistance program.

A proxy form will be available for seniors who are allowed the benefit, but need a caregiver or family member to shop for them.

Sign-ups are available at Department of Aging and Disabilities' offices at 2666 Riva Road, Suite 400 in Annapolis, and 7320 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

The coupons are good for produce at all six county farmers' markets or at authorized markets throughout Maryland.
