ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- They should have had the game tied in the seventh inning, but a blown call by plate umpire Brian Knight left them angry and still one run short. No matter, Brian Roberts tied the game with a one-out, ninth-inning RBI double off closer Eric Gagne.

That served only to delay the Orioles' disappointment. After fighting back from a three-run hole and fighting through Knight's poor call, the Orioles watched Paul Shuey surrender the game-winning RBI single to Michael Young as the Texas Rangers prevailed, 4-3, in 10 innings last night before an announced 24,035 at Ameriquest Field.

Orioles@Rangers Tonight, 8:35, MASN2, 105.7 FM Starters: Erik Bedard (6-4, 3.67) vs. Brandon McCarthy (4-5, 6.17)
