Three shot, one fatally

Three unidentifed people were shot late last night in West Baltimore, one of them fatally, marking the city's 163rd homicide of the year.

The shootings occurred about 10 p.m. outside a rowhouse in the 1900 block of W. Lafayette Ave., said Officer Troy Harris, a Baltimore police spokesman.

One man suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Another man was shot in the abdomen and also taken to Shock Trauma. A woman was shot in the left leg and taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital.
