St. Andrew's United to hold yard sale

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Spaces are $15 for a 10-by-10 foot space, and $5 for tables.

Reservations are suggested.

Concessions will be available throughout the day.

Woods Memorial stages art show

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church is showing Shades of Summer, an exhibit by 26 local artists, through July 22 in its gallery at 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park.

The exhibit will feature a mix of watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings and photographs.

Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment only on weekends.

Pasadena church gets new minister

Pasadena United Methodist Church will welcome a new pastor, the Rev. Sherrin Marshall, at the morning services Sunday at 61 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena.

Marshall, the former pastor of Marley United Methodist Church, replaces the Rev. Bruce C. Thompson., who has been named the executive director of the Baltimore Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Centenary sets Bible school

Centenary Church of Shady Side will hold its Galilee By-the-Sea dinners and vacation Bible school from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 8 through 12 at 6248 Shady Side Road.

This family-inspired event will have a toy-making workshop, dinner and Bible study.

This year's theme will be "Avalanche Ranch" for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Glen Lutheran Church, 106 Carroll Road, Glen Burnie, will hold a vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. July 23 through 27.

This event, with the theme "Quest for Truth," is for children from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.

Bible school is set at Our Redeemer

Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie, will hold a vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon July 23 through 27.

The theme will be "Disciples of the Caribbean" and is tailored for children older than 4 through fifth grade.

The cost is $5 until July 15 and then $10.
