Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Central

Arrest -- Jerrell Antwan Gardner, 23, of the 800 block of Brooks Lane was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center on an unrelated charge Saturday when police served him with a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. Gardner is charged with shooting Maurice Gordon, 15, of the 2500 block of Linden Ave., in the victim's apartment about 2:30 a.m. June 13. Gordon was shot in the back and died a short time later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. An investigation led to Gardner's arrest at central booking, where he was being held without bail.

Theft -- Someone broke into a 1997 Nissan Altima parked in the 300 block of Dolphin St. on Monday and stole $18.

Southern

Theft -- An iPod valued at $350 was stolen Sunday night from a 2007 GMC Denali sport utility vehicle parked in the 1100 block of S. Charles St.

Northern

Theft -- A handicap placard valued at $75 was stolen Monday morning from a 2005 Honda parked in the 2200 block of Maryland Ave. by someone who broke a window to enter the vehicle.

Theft -- A global positioning system and a stereo receiver - all valued at $650 -were stolen Monday morning from a 2003 Toyota parked in the first block of W. 21st St.
