An arrest has been made in the killing of a Perry Hall man Friday night, Baltimore County police said yesterday.

Jaquane Donte Gross, 18, of the 3900 block of Bayville Road in Middle River was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of Davon Lopez, 16, of the first block of Gamewell Garth in Perry Hall, according to police.

About 10:30 p.m. Friday, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 3900 block of Bayville Road. Residents said they heard people fighting in the street when shots sounded, according to a police statement. Lopez was found wounded at the scene and was taken to Franklin Square Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Through witness interviews, detectives identified Gross as the shooter. He was arrested Saturday afternoon and was being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson. He is expected to have a bail review hearing today, police said.
