SunTrust Maryland appointed John E. Hehir as a senior vice president in the regional bank's commercial division. He is responsible for client origination and relationship management for the Baltimore area.

Wachovia Bank announced that Ken Hostetter joined the staff as a vice president and small-business leader. He will direct the team of small-business bankers in the state except for Prince George's and Montgomery counties.

Baltimore County Savings Bank named Mark Sergi commercial and industrial lending officer.

Good Samaritan Hospital appointed Geannine L. Hladky as vice president of development for the North Baltimore health facility.

Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll LLP announced that Mark Pollak was named a partner in its Baltimore office real estate department and Jill Reynolds Seidman joined the national law firm as of counsel.

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield appointed Gregory M. Miller as vice president of the Owings Mills-based insurer's program management office.
