June 19, 2007

A 28-year-old Pennsylvania motorcyclist died yesterday afternoon at a Harford County hospital from injuries received when he crashed into the rear of a vehicle on U.S. 1 near Mountain Road in Fallston, according to the state police.

Gary Joseph Boynton of Fawn Grove was driving a 2005 Yamaha R1 motorcycle on Mountain Road about 4:20 p.m. when he hit the rear of a 2006 Ford Econoline van whose driver was attempting to turn left onto southbound U.S. 1.

Police said Boynton was taken by ambulance to Upper Chesapeake Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The van's driver, Blaine Navarre, 43, of Joppa, was not hurt.
