Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Southwestern

Victim named -- Police yesterday identified Sterling Carr Jr., 28, of the 4900 block of Challedon Road as the man shot in the upper body about 11:48 p.m. Tuesday in the 2400 block of N. Ellamont St. He died about 12:25 a.m. Wednesday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the slaying.

Western

Shooting -- A man, 23, from Silver Spring, was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was shot in the stomach, an arm and the left leg by an unknown gunman in the 2100 block of Presbury St. about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police responding to a report of shots fired on Presbury Street found the man lying nearby in the 1700 block of N. Pulaski St. Anyone with information is urged to call the district detective unit at 410-396-2477.

Shooting -- Police responding to a report of a man shot in the 2500 block of Edmondson Ave. about 1:50 a.m. Wednesday found a man, 24, bleeding from several gunshot wounds to the chest and both legs. The man told police he was walking down the street when he was approached by a man wearing a mask who shot him for no apparent reason. Police said the victim was shot with a 9 mm handgun and was in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Central

Burglary -- Between midnight Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, someone entered a rear office at Pleasure Palace in the 400 block of E. Baltimore St. and stole $700.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 2100 block of Druid Hill Ave. on Monday while the occupant was out and removed two electric stoves, a furnace, an intercom system and light fixtures. The property was valued at $1,520.

Burglary -- A telephone of unknown value was stolen between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. Monday from an office at the Bolton Hill Swim & Tennis Club in the 1100 block of Park Ave. A soft-drink vending machine was damaged but not opened.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn

Theft/assault -- An employee of Ollie's Bargain Outlet in the 8200 block of Liberty Road was stabbed three times in the shoulder by a male shoplifter while the victim and other store employees pursued the man across a parking lot about 4 p.m. Wednesday. The injured victim was treated at Sinai Hospital. The armed man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a deadly weapon and theft of three bed sheets. His name was withheld pending an appearance before a District Court commissioner.

Parkville

Burglary -- An unknown quantity of cigarettes were stolen about 4 a.m. Wednesday by someone who broke into Quick Stop Food Mart in the 3300 of E. Joppa Road by forcing open the front door.

Burglary/arrests -- Two teenage boys were arrested Wednesday and charged as juveniles with breaking into a house in the first block of Eastford Court that day and stealing several video games and accessories. The boys were released into the custody of their parents.

Franklin

Bank robbery -- Police were seeking a blond-haired woman who robbed M&T Bank in the 100 block of Chartley Drive in Reisterstown of an undisclosed sum of money about 11:25 a.m. Wednesday after giving a teller a holdup note.

Pikesville

Robbery -- A deliveryman for Giorgio's Pizza in the 6300 block of Reisterstown Road was about to deliver food to the occupants of a house in the 6900 block of Marsue Drive about 11 p.m. Tuesday when he was robbed of $200 and the food by a man armed with a handgun.

Burglary -- A global positioning system valued at $400 was stolen Tuesday night from an apartment in the first block of Bonnie Ridge Court by someone who entered through a sliding glass door.
