The eighth annual Jazzy Summer Nights Music Series kicks off tonight with a concert from jazz guitarist Chuck Brown. Taking place every first Thursday through September, the concert series will also feature performances from Maysa Leake, Fertile Ground and Frank McComb.

OUTDOOR SCREENING

The sixth annual Free Summer Outdoor Movie Series begins tomorrow in Bel Air. Before the start of each movie, the Bel Air Cultural Arts Commission will provide entertainment ranging from musicians to tae kwon do demonstrations. The series takes place every other Friday through Aug. 17. This week's event, featuring the movie Over the Hedge (left), will include pre-movie entertainment by accordion player Phillip Bonsiero.

Head to Lilypons Water Gardens this weekend for Lily Pons Days. This outdoor festival will feature water-gardening lectures, area arts and craft vendors, children's activities, food, boat rides and live entertainment from the Star Spangled Big Band.

ITALIAN PARTY

Do as the Romans do and catch the Italian Festival this weekend on the streets by St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church. The festival, honoring St. Anthony, will include a bocce tournament, bingo games, Italian cuisine and live entertainment, including music from Little Italy's Monaldi Brothers Orchestra.
