Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Southeastern

Shooting -- Two women, ages 26 and 28, were sitting on the front steps of a house in the 1500 block of May Court in the Lafayette Homes about 3:15 a.m. Saturday when a man believed to be known to one of the women fired several shots at them from a handgun of unknown caliber. Police said at least one bullet grazed the older woman's left upper leg; the younger female escaped injury. The woman who was shot refused medical treatment, and no arrest had been made. Police also knew of no motive for the shooting.

Arson -- Police and fire investigators were seeking whoever set fire to a house under renovation in the 2400 block of Orleans St. about 2 a.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported and damage to the building and its contents was estimated at $30,000.

Stolen vehicle -- A blue 1998 BMW with tags LKX 344 was stolen over the weekend in the 2600 block of Boston St.

Armed robbery -- Police were seeking two men, one armed with a pepper spray device, who robbed A&A Metro Temps in the 1700 block of Eastern Ave. About 2 p.m. Friday, the men, both of whom were wearing scarves over their faces, entered the temporary employment business and demanded money from an employee. Before the employee turned over an undisclosed sum to the pair, he was sprayed in the face with the chemical irritant. Anyone with information is urged to contact the district's robbery squad at 410-396-2422.

Northeastern

Robbery -- A 20-year-old woman was walking toward her car parked in the 5900 block of Radecke Ave. about 2:30 a.m. Friday when she was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed her of the keys to her 2001 gold-colored Nissan and drove off. The car has tags 5BR D10. Anyone with information is asked to call the district detective unit at 410-396-2444.

Burglary -- A gold ring and two watches - all valued at $1,000 - were stolen over the weekend from the bedroom of a house in the 4300 block of Marble Hall Road by someone who entered through a dining room window.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Burglary -- Someone broke into a shed in the 9300 block of Snyder Lane between Friday and Saturday and removed a chain saw and a gas can. The property was valued at more than $300.

Essex

Burglary/arrest -- A man, 38, was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday and accused of forcibly entering his girlfriend's home in the 9800 block of Sapelo Road by breaking a door chain and assaulting the woman and her former husband, who was visiting her. Charged with burglary and assault was James Mitchell of the 1400 block of Shadetree Road.

North Point

Theft/arrest -- Two teenage boys, one 16 and the other 17, were detained Saturday by a security officer when they attempted to leave Steve & Barry's, an athletic wear store at Eastpoint Mall, without paying for clothing valued at nearly $90. The boys were each charged by county police with theft and released to the custody of their parents. The property was recovered.

Franklin

Burglary -- Police were seeking whoever broke into a building at Glyndon Swim Club in the first block of Central Ave. between Friday night and early Saturday by removing a window air conditioner and stole more than $100 and candy.
