Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Robbery -- A 24-year-old man was walking in the 1400 block of W. Patapsco Ave. about 1:15 p.m. Saturday when a robber placed an object into the small of his back and took his cell phone and $100.

Stolen vehicle -- A green 2004 Ford Windstar van with tags 58265CA was stolen Friday from the parking lot of a gas station in the 2000 block of Haines St.

FOR THE RECORD - The May 29 Police Blotter column incorrecty reported that a man charged with stealing athletic shoes from a vendor at the Plaza Flea Market was a flea market employee.

Stolen vehicle -- A green 1995 Honda Civic with tags 9CM E71 was stolen over the weekend in the 1600 block of E. Madison St.


Theft -- Someone broke into a Comcast van parked in the 4300 block of Woodlea Ave. over the weekend and stole a transmitter, an antenna, a camera and power tools - all valued at $10,000.


Theft -- A handicap placard valued at $75 was stolen Sunday from a 1999 Mazda in the 1700 block of Aliceanna St. by someone who entered the vehicle after breaking a window.

Theft -- An iPod valued at $180 was stolen Sunday from a 2002 Ford Explorer parked in the 900 block of Trinity St.

Robbery try -- A 32-year-old man was walking in the 3300 block of Bank St. shortly after midnight Sunday when he was stopped by two younger males, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. The victim fled and called police.

Assault -- Police were seeking several teenage males who attacked a 42-year-old in the 3200 block of E. Fairmount Ave. about 11 p.m. Sunday and struck him with a bottle. The man was treated for minor injuries.

Stolen vehicle -- A white 2001 Dodge Intrepid with tags 4CW M85 was stolen Saturday in the 1000 block of Dundalk Ave.

Robbery -- An employee of Broadway Pharmacy in the 1700 block of E. Baltimore St. was walking toward the store from a nearby bank about noon Friday when a gunman struck her in the face with his fist and robbed her of an undisclosed sum of money.

Burglary -- A cell phone and $200 were stolen Friday from a house in the 400 block of S. Newkirk St. by someone who entered through a basement window.

Stolen vehicle -- A red Plymouth van with tags 378M711 was stolen over the weekend in the 300 block of S. Caroline St.

Burglary -- Jewelry of unknown value was stolen over the weekend from a house in the 100 block of N. Rose St. by someone who entered through a rear kitchen door.

Baltimore County

North Point

Theft/arrest -- An employee of a flea market in the 2400 block of North Point Road was arrested Sunday and charged with stealing several cases of athletic shoes valued at nearly $13,000 from vendors between April 21 and Sunday. Arrested at the flea market after a lengthy investigation and charged with multiple counts of felony theft was Luther Wyche, 46, of the 1800 block of Chilton St. in Northeast Baltimore.


Burglary -- Stereo equipment valued at $40 was stolen over the weekend from a shed in the 800 block of Warwick Road.
