Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Robbery -- A 42-year-old resident of a halfway house was walking in the 1600 block of E. Madison St. about 5:15 p.m. Saturday when two younger males, one armed with an unknown weapon, struck him on the head and robbed him of $62. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for a minor injury to his right hand and released.


Shooting -- A 28-year-old man was being treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for injuries suffered after he was wounded in the lower back by birdshot fired from a shotgun by an unknown person as the victim walked in the 6600 block of Knottwood Court about noon Friday.


Theft -- A laptop computer, radios, a camera and Global Positioning System device - all valued at $2,300 - were stolen Saturday from a 2003 Toyota Camry in the 2100 block of E. Lombard St.

Robbery -- A man armed with a shovel forced his way into a 33-year-old woman's house in the 2000 block of Gough St. about 8 a.m. Friday and robbed her of a cell phone and $100.


Shooting -- A 23-year-old man was standing at a bus stop in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. about 2:30 p.m. Friday when an unknown gunman fired several shots, one of which struck him in the right arm. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Baltimore County

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 9100 block of Abigail Drive on Saturday and stole a jar containing $20 in coins.

Burglary -- A safe containing nearly $12,000 was stolen between Thursday and Friday from an apartment in the 9100 block of Swiven Place by someone who entered by forcing open a rear sliding glass door. The victim told police the money was being saved to purchase a house.


Burglary/assault -- A woman told police she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend and robbed of keys, a cell phone and money after he drove her to her apartment in the 800 block of Brunswick Road about 4 a.m. Saturday, then forcibly entered the dwelling. Police issued a warrant for his arrest.


Burglary -- A set of silver dinnerware and jewelry - all valued at $7,000 - were stolen from a house in the 11700 block of Mayfair Field Drive between May 19 and Saturday by someone who entered through a basement door.


Robbery -- Police were seeking a man who robbed Game Stop in the 800 block of N. Rolling Road of $300 and more than $1,000 worth of video games and accessories about noon Saturday while implying he was armed with a handgun. Before fleeing, the man forced two employees into a back room and told them to "count to 50."
