The man who was killed Sunday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle on the Jones Falls Expressway and crashed into a jersey barrier has been identified as a resident of North Baltimore, city police said.

Cornell Smith, 39, of the 4900 block of Greenspring Ave. was riding a 2003 Honda motorcycle north on the JFX when he spun out of control on a curve between the Guilford Avenue and Calvert Street overpasses, police said. Mr. Smith, who was wearing a helmet, was dead at the scene, police said.
