Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- A 17-year-old boy was reported in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after someone shot him in the arm about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of N. Eutaw St.

Assault -- Patrick Muhammad, a 36-year-old attorney, was walking in the 100 block of E. Chase St. about 4:30 p.m. Monday when a man threatened to strike him with a golf club. Muhammad told police that he recognized the man as someone he had represented in a domestic case. A warrant was issued charging the man with aggravated assault.

Arrest -- William Darby, 42, of the 400 block of E., Lanvale St. was arrested about 6 p.m. Tuesday and charged with breaking into a 2001 Hyundai parked in the 100 block of E. Mount Royal Ave. moments earlier and stealing a radio. Darby is also suspected of breaking into a 2006 Chevrolet van in the 100 block of E. Mount Royal Ave. about two hours earlier and stealing a global positioning device, police said.

Robbery -- Two men attacked a 16-year-old boy as he walked in the first block of W. Conway St. about 1 p.m. Tuesday and robbed him of cell phone and school identification. The victim sustained a minor head injury during the robbery.


Theft -- A purse valued at $200 was stolen Tuesday from a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the 1600 block of Miller St.


Shooting -- A man was shot in the chest and leg in the 900 block of W. Lombard St. about 8:30 p.m. yesterday and was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. His condition and details of the shooting were not immediately available.

Burglary -- Power tools, a laser level and other tools and equipment - all valued at nearly $2,300 - were stolen Monday from a construction site in the 500 block of W. Pratt St.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 800 block of Washington Blvd. through a dining room window Monday and removed two 27-inch TVs, video games and their accessories, clothing and power tools. Total value of the property was more than $1,000.


Stolen vehicle -- A green two-door 1994 Lincoln Mark 8 with no tags was stolen Tuesday in the 2500 block of Garrett Ave.

Baltimore County


Rape -- A 15-year-old girl reported to police that after accepting a ride with a 22-year-old man she knows about 2 a.m. Sunday, he drove to an unknown area and gave her a pill that caused her to fall asleep. The girl told police that when she awoke several hours later, she realized she had been raped and told the man to drop her off at White Marsh Mall. He did, and the girl called police. No arrest had been made.


Arson -- Someone entered a vacant apartment in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle about 8 p.m. Monday, removed several window blinds and curtains from rooms and used the kitchen stove to set them ablaze. Damage was confined to the apartment and no injuries were reported. Anyone with information about the break-in was urged to call the district at 410-887-2361.
