Wine and herbs

The lowdown -- Head to Boordy Vineyards this weekend for its Wine and Herb Fest. Check out the new spring wine releases while perusing the many plants and garden crafts for sale. Other offerings include live music from Cedar Creek on Saturday and Captain Quint on Sunday, vineyard wagon rides, gourmet and local foods and vineyard tours.

Bike Jam

The lowdown -- Enjoy the weather at Bike Jam, Baltimore's ninth annual cycling festival. Events include races for cash and prizes for all ages and categories, the Kelly Cup Pro Race featuring riders from the Tour D'France and the Olympic Games, and the Bike Trials Stunt Show. A RecRide for everyone from casual riders to serious bike aficionados is scheduled, as are activities for kids and live music.

Island wines

The lowdown -- Get the feeling of an island paradise this weekend when Berrywine Plantations and Linganore Winecellars host the Caribbean Wine Festival. Enjoy wine tastings, plantation tours and live steel and calypso music from DC Pan Jammers and Image Band.
