Blue Jays update

Toronto has won six of its past nine games after losing nine in a row. The Blue Jays have lost eight of their past nine road games. With all the room for movement in the American League East, they could end this series in second or last place. They are in fourth, but only a game behind the second-place New York Yankees, and one game ahead of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. They're still banged up, with B.J. Ryan, Roy Halladay, Gustavo Chacin, Reed Johnson, Gregg Zaun, Brandon League, John Thomson and Victor Zambrano on the disabled list. But the Blue Jays were in sorry shape last week and swept the Orioles in a three-game series at Rogers Centre, with Burnett winning the finale. The teams also played a three-game series at Camden Yards last month, with the Orioles getting the sweep.
