Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Robbery -- A 44-year-old man was riding a bicycle in the 1700 block of Presstman St. about 3:45 a.m. Saturday when he was stopped by a man armed with a knife who said, "Do you know what time it is?" Before the victim could respond, the armed man threatened him with the knife, robbed him of $27 and fled on foot.

Stolen vehicle -- A white four-door Nissan Altima with tags 4CY F78 was stolen Saturday in the 700 block of Gold St.

Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a blue 1993 Dodge Caravan with tags 870M883 that was stolen over the weekend in the 1300 block of Laurens St.

Stolen vehicle -- A gold 1991 Dodge Caravan with tags 452M335 was stolen Saturday in front of its owner's house in the 1300 block of N. Fremont Ave.


Stolen vehicle -- While the owner was arranging for a tow truck to remove a disabled green 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 4100 block of Edmondson Ave. on Friday afternoon, someone stole the vehicle. It had tags 476M440.


Theft/arrest -- A 54-year-old woman was detained Saturday by a store security officer when she allegedly attempted to leave Wal-Mart in the 2700 block of Port Covington Drive without paying for cosmetics valued at nearly $200. Arrested by district police and charged with misdemeanor theft was Brenda Simpson of the 500 block of Baltic Ave.

Burglary -- A watch, cell phone, jewelry, dinnerware and cash - all valued at $200 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 700 block of W. Cross St. by someone who entered through a first-floor kitchen window.

Stolen vehicle -- A green four-door 1999 Volkswagen Jetta with Virginia tag C452681 was stolen Saturday in the 600 block of Cherrycrest Road.

Theft -- Police were seeking an unidentified man who stole six bottles of shampoo and a can of insect repellent from the CVS store in the 1000 block of S. Charles St. on Friday.

Burglary -- Two air compressors were stolen over the weekend from a construction site in the 500 block of W. Pratt St. They were valued at $700.

Baltimore County


Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of Harris Mill Road in Parkton between 12:05 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday through a connecting garage and stole a safe containing nearly $300 and credit cards. The burglary occurred while the occupant was asleep.

Burglary -- Several rolls of copper wiring - valued at nearly $3,300 - were stolen over the weekend from a storage yard at Northeastern Inc. in the 1900 block of Greenside Drive in Cockeysville.


Robbery -- Three young males, each armed with a handgun, robbed three teenage girls of a cell phone, clothing and a DVD player shortly after they got off a bus at Fairbrook and Rolling roads about 11 p.m. Friday. The property was valued at more than $300.
