Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.


Central District

Drug arrest -- A 56-year-old woman was arrested yesterday morning in John Clay Sizzling Food Restaurant in the 1900 block of N. Charles St. on a warrant charging her with illegal possession of several doses of the prescription drug clonazepam, said Detective David Jones of the district's drug enforcement unit. The warrant for Elouise Smith of the 500 block of N. Ellwood Ave. was obtained after a police undercover purchase of drugs at the restaurant April 17, Jones said. According to Jones, the drug is combined with methadone by addicts to produce an effect similar to that of heroin.


Robbery/arrests -- A West Baltimore man reported he was walking in the 3600 block of Mount Pleasant St. about 10 p.m. Tuesday when three other men, one with a handgun, got out of a Jeep and robbed him of a cell phone and digital recorder. About two hours later in the 3400 block of E. Fayette St., police stopped a Jeep, took its three occupants into custody, and found a handgun in the vehicle. Christopher Logan, 19, of the 4300 block of Dewey Ave., was charged with the armed robbery. Two others, Tyrone Avery, 19, of the 3400 block of Cliftmont Ave., and Norman Meekins, 16, of the 900 block of Druid Park Lake Drive, were charged with handgun possession - the latter as an adult.

Stolen vehicle -- A gray 2001 Mercury with tags 7BP P82 was stolen Wednesday in the 2000 block of E. Fairmount Ave.


Arrest -- Gregory Jones, 20, of no fixed address, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 3600 block of Spaulding Ave. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Jones is charged with shooting a man in the 700 block of N. Rose St. on March 28.

Arrest -- Keiara Smith, 17, was arrested Wednesday at her home in the 1400 block of E. Lanvale St. on a warrant charging her as an adult with attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon. Smith is charged with stabbing another female in the 1700 block of E. Preston St. on May 2.

Baltimore County

Burglary/arrests -- Twin brothers Kevin and Keith Chesley, 26, and Bryant Livers, 44, whose addresses were not available, were arrested early Wednesday and charged with breaking into Integrity Recycling in the 7900 block of Philadelphia Road that day and stealing waste metal plates valued at $2,000.


Robbery -- An 82-year-old woman was walking in the 3100 block of Putty Hill Ave. about noon Wednesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property - all valued at $172. During a struggle, the woman sustained minor injuries.


Robbery -- Police were seeking two gunmen who robbed a man of a cell phone and a wallet with an undisclosed sum of money as he walked along Donnybrook Lane near Aigburth Road about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
