Sister Christina Marie, 73

Sister Christina Marie Daily, a retired nurse, died of cancer May 1 at Mercy Medical Center. She was 73.

Born Adelaide Agnes Daily in Savannah, Ga., she became a registered nurse, entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1957 and took the name Christina Marie. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the old Mount St. Agnes College in 1961 and a master's degree in nursing administration from the University of Maryland in 1972.

After assignments in Mobile, Ala., and Guyana, she became an obstetrics supervisor at Mercy hospital in Baltimore. From 1973 to 1974, she was a pediatric clinic supervisor at the hospital and then became coordinator of community services at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Baynesville until 2001.

Her funeral Mass was offered Saturday at the religious order's Baltimore County retirement home.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.
