Two men died in shootings early yesterday and Saturday, and police had no suspects nor knew of motives in the slayings - Baltimore's latest reported homicides.

About 1:30 a.m. yesterday, Southeastern District officers responding to gunshots in the 200 block of Spring Court found a man bleeding from multiple wounds.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died less than an hour later, said Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman.

The other shooting was reported about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Herkimer St., near the eastern edge of Carroll Park. Responding Southern District officers found the victim bleeding from a bullet wound to the head.

Harris said it appeared the man - whose name was not released - was shot while walking toward or away from a car. He died a short time later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, Harris said.

Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and an indictment in either slaying.
