Louisville, Ky. -- Trainer Steve Asmussen stood outside his barn in a light spritz yesterday morning as Curlin, the morning line favorite for today's 133rd Kentucky Derby, relaxed in his stall, oblivious to the questions he has to answer.

Asmussen already had spent the week answering for him and sometimes laughing in amazement at questions about the lightly raced 3-year-old's chances of winning.
