LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mario Pino will ride in his first Kentucky Derby tomorrow, but yesterday morning he tried to keep it routine.

Pino and his wife, Cristina, went through their normal schedule. Rising early. Having breakfast. And then they left their Ellicott City house for their usual morning walk with their two girls, Evana, 11, and Victoria, 14, to the corner school bus stop.
