Market opens

The lowdown -- Browse through produce, herbs, flowers, fruit and more Sunday at the opening of the 30th Baltimore Farmers' Market. This year the market includes a vegan vendor and prepared food including Caribbean, Spanish, Thai and French.

If you go -- The market will run 8 a.m. to sellout (around noon) Sundays through Dec. 23 at Holliday and Saratoga streets under the Jones Falls Expressway. Call 877-BALTIMORE or go to promotionandarts.com.

Sail away

The lowdown -- Shop for your next boat this weekend at the Annapolis Spring Sails Event. The event has teamed up with the Maryland Maritime Heritage Festival at the Annapolis City Dock. Water taxis and shuttle vans will take visitors to all the locations of the show, which brings together 10 area dealers.

If you go -- The event runs 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Annapolis City Dock, 1 Dock St. Admission is free. Call 410-268-8828 or go to springsailsevent.com.

Get healthy

The lowdown -- Learn how to maintain a healthy environment and a healthy you during Baltimore Green Week. The citywide program kicks off Saturday with EcoFestival, which includes vendors, healthy food, art and music from Lawnchair, Smooth Kentucky and For the People. The rest of the week's activities run Monday-May 11 and include lectures, forums and community events.
