Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Church burglary -- Someone removed several lengths of copper downspouts -- all valued at $2,600 -- from the exterior of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in the 3800 block of 4th St. in Brooklyn between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Anyone with information was urged to contact the district at 410-396-2499.

Stolen vehicle -- A white 2001 Toyota Highlander with tags M454245 was stolen Wednesday in the 1600 block of Hollins St.

Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a blue 2000 Saturn with Michigan tag AHV4858 that was stolen Wednesday in the 300 block of S. Fremont Ave.

Theft -- A purse containing cash, sunglasses and other property -- all valued at $990 -- was stolen Wednesday from a 2005 Toyota Corolla parked in the 600 block of S. Fremont.


Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of Cumberland St. between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning and stole $220 in cash and $20 in pennies.

Assault -- A 36-year-old man was walking in the first-floor hallway of an apartment building in the 1500 block of Eutaw Place about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when he was attacked from behind by an assailant who stabbed him in the back with an unknown weapon. The victim, who was described by police as intoxicated and uncooperative, was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.


Stabbings -- Two men, one 21 and the other 18, were standing in the 5000 block of Beaufort Ave. about 7:45 p.m. Thursday when they were attacked by several other men, at least one of them armed with a knife. The older victim was stabbed twice in a lung and the other was stabbed in the lower back. Both were treated at Sinai Hospital.


Shooting -- Police were seeking a gunman who stepped from an alley in the 100 block of N. Gilmor St. about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday and shot a 25-year-old man who was playing basketball with other men on a nearby court. The victim, shot in the lower back, was taken to Shock Trauma.

Shooting -- A 17-year-old boy was shot in the upper right leg about 10 p.m. Tuesday in an alley in the 200 block of N. Smallwood St. The victim was found in the 100 block of N. Bentalou St. and taken to Shock Trauma.


Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a tan four-door 1997 Dodge Spirit with tags 3CZ D62 that was stolen Wednesday in the 2300 block of E. Baltimore St.

Stolen vehicle -- A gray 1997 Jeep Cherokee with tags 663M001 was stolen Wednesday in the 200 block of N. Montford Ave.

Stolen vehicle -- Someone stole a 1991 Acura Integra with tags HXZ 799 Wednesday from the driveway of a house in the 6700 block of Boston St.

Robbery try -- A 39-year-old man was walking in the 100 block of N. Collington Ave. about 5 p.m. Tuesday when a man armed with a box cutter demanded his money. The assailant fled when the victim told him he had none.

Burglary -- A 15-speed bicycle and tools -- all valued at $200 -- were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 6500 block of Detroit Ave by someone who entered through a rear door.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Burglary -- A 125-cc Suzuki dirt bike valued at $2,000 was stolen from an unlocked shed in the 8500 block of Philadelphia Road between Sunday and Tuesday.

North Point

Robbery -- A 44-year-old driver for a pizza shop was making a delivery to the occupants of a house in the 100 block of Calvin Hill Court about 9:15 p.m. Thursday when he was assaulted by an apparently unarmed man who robbed hin of $130 and the food.

Burglary -- A 2005 Yamaha Rhino all-terrain vehicle valued at $8,000 was stolen between Monday night and Tuesday morning from outside a house in the 100 block of Morgan Ellis Way.

Burglary -- Two dirt bikes were stolen Tuesday from a garage in the 7800 block of Longridge Road. They were valued at $9,100.


Carjacking -- A 44-year-old woman had stopped in the first block of Ridgelawn Road about 10:30 p.m. Monday when she was forced out of her maroon 2007 Nissan Sentra by a man armed with a knife who robbed her of $20, her keys and the car. It had tags 4AS J80.


Burglary -- Jewelry and a TV were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 7900 block of Dunhill Village Circle.
