Blue Jays update

The Blue Jays come into Camden Yards after dropping two of three to the Boston, Red Sox, including a 5-3 loss yesterday when the Toronto bullpen blew an eighth-inning lead. Toronto is without several regulars. Former Orioles closer B.J. Ryan is on the disabled list with a left elbow strain and is expected to be out four to six weeks. Troy Glaus (bruised heel) and Reed Johnson (herniated disc) are also on the DL. Frank Thomas is hitting .204, but connected for his second home run yesterday. Aaron Hill leads Jays regulars with a .327 average. Burnett, who nearly became an Oriole in 2005, allowed four runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings in his last start against the Detroit Tigers. Chacin out-dueled Boston's Daisuke Matsuzaka in his last start, holding the Red Sox to one run over 6 2/3 innings.
