Salisbury rolls in tourney opener, 27-2

Matt Hickman scored five goals to help host and top-seeded Salisbury (16-0) dominate Catholic (5-10) in a 27-2 victory yesterday in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference men's tournament.

Eric Bishop scored four goals and Kylor Berkman, Greg Titus and Kyle Burto each had three for the Sea Gulls.

Villa Julie 16, Mary Washington 6 -- The Mustangs (10-3) got five goals from Kevin Donnelly en route to victory over the visiting Eagles (6-9) in the first round of the CAC tournament.

Goucher 7, York (Pa.) 6 -- Dave Duff's extra-man goal in the opening minute of the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner as the visiting Gophers (6-7) defeated the Spartans (5-8) in the first round of the CAC tournament.

St. Mary's 15, Marymount 5 -- Ryan Alexander scored five goals as the Seahawks (10-5) routed the visiting Saints (5-10).
