CRIME WATCH

April 17, 2007|By ANICA BUTLER

A Brooklyn Park man shot another man, forced him into the trunk of a car and drove off, say Anne Arundel County police, who are searching for both, plus a woman who was in the passenger seat.

Yesterday, police labeled Michael Jay Francis, 21, of the 5200 block of Brookwood Road in Brooklyn Park as critically missing after recovering the car and finding his bloody clothing inside.

Antonio Moore, 20, of the 3800 block of Third St., is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, kidnapping, attempted kidnapping and reckless endangerment, police said.

Police said that during an argument early Saturday on the 5000 block of Brookwood Road, Moore struck Teiko Tyrone Johnson, 30, of the 5200 block of Brookwood Road with the butt of a gun and tried to force Johnson into the trunk of a car. Johnson was able to flee with minor injuries, police said.

Moore then shot Francis while trying to get him into the trunk of the same 2002 Toyota Solara convertible, police said.

The car, which had been reported stolen in March, was later found at Christian and Brookwood roads.

Besides Moore and Francis, police are looking for Sierra Monet Anderson, 18, of the 3000 block of Third St., who officers said was seen leaving with Moore.

Police said Moore should be considered armed and dangerous. They ask anyone who knows where he is to call 911.

Anyone with other information about the case is asked to call Police Department at 410-222-8610 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP.
