Annapolis man found fatally shot on ground

An Annapolis man was found shot to death just before midnight Sunday, police said yesterday. Aaron Brown, 44, of Tyler Avenue, was found unresponsive on the ground in the 1100 block of Madison St., officials said. Brown was shot at least once, police said.

Police said they have no known motive or suspects in the shooting. It was the city's third homicide of 2007. Annapolis recorded seven homicides last year.

Two men are charged in murder attempt

Two Pylesville men were being held without bond yesterday after being arrested and charged over the weekend with attempted murder in a drive-by shooting in rural Darlington, police said.

Justin R. Hannah, 18, of the 3000 block of Whiteford Road and Matthew C. Germuth, 18, of the 200 block of Wheeler School Road were arrested Sunday after an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were fired upon in the 3300 block of Cedar Church Road in Darlington, said Sgt. Christina Presberry, a spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Hannah was upset over a recent breakup with the girl and made plans to meet with her and the man, Presberry said.

Three shots were fired from a handgun, striking the couple's vehicle, police said.

Hannah and Germuth were arrested Sunday without incident and are being held at the Harford County Detention Center, police said.
