Dancing days
Kevin Millar did his best Ray Lewis impression during the pre-game introductions, breaking out the linebacker's signature dance before jogging down the orange carpet. Then he reverted to baseball form by homering for the second time in two days to tie the game at 1 in the third. His leadoff shot ignited a four-run rally in the Orioles' 6-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Soft touch
It's not how hard you hit them, but where. Brian Roberts blooped a single into center field in the third inning that drove in the go-ahead run, Miguel Tejada grounded a single to left with two outs that increased the lead to 4-1, and Jay Gibbons hit a looping double to left, the ball falling inside the line and beyond the reach of third baseman Brandon Inge, to make it 6-1 in the fifth.
