Chamber to hold after-hours mixer

The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will hold an after-hours mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Pintail Yachts, City Dock, 312 Third St., Suite 102. The cost is $10 in advance, $15 at the door and $25 for nonmembers.

The chamber will also hold a power breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. April 25 at Carrol's Creek Caf?, 410 Severn Ave. The cost is $17 in advance, $22 at the door for members and $35 for others.

BWI partnership to hold breakfast

The BWI Business Partnership will hold its monthly breakfast meeting from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Rose Restaurant at the Comfort Inn, 6921 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Brooklyn Park.

Howard County Executive Ken Ulman will speak.

The breakfast meeting is free for members and $40 for others. Reservations are required by Tuesday.

Chamber announces monthly events

The Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce has announced its monthly activities:

A program for members who want to learn how to maximize their membership will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the chamber office, 312 Marshall Ave., Suite 104, Laurel. Free to members. Registration is required.

Career seminar set for Saturday

Bringing On New Direction Inc., a nonprofit career resource center, will hold its first career seminar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1490 Matthews Town Road, Hanover.

"Success: A Journey, Not a Destination" will provide career information on how to market yourself, resume development, effective interviewing, salary negotiating and how to advance in corporate America.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Women's group plans annual fashion show

The Maryland capital chapter of American Business Women's Association will hold its annual fashion show at 6 p.m. April 19 at the Doubletree Hotel, 210 Holiday Court, Annapolis.

The event will feature models showing fashion, makeup and hair; a live auction; and a raffle.

Tickets are $55 until today and $65 afterward.

Tech Council plans mixer April 18

The Anne Arundel Tech Council will hold an InfoMixer from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 18 at the Chesapeake Innovation Center, 175 Admiral Cochrane Drive, Suite 400, Annapolis.

Participants will network with the area's top technology and homeland security executives.

The mixer is free for members and $20 for nonmembers.
