It was one of those everything-but-the-kitchen-sink shows.

Christina Aguilera, the '90s teen-pop queen who in recent years has worked way too hard to prove how grown-up she is, brought her Back to Basics tour to Washington's Verizon Center on Monday night. And it was anything but basic. Much like her singing, the nearly two-hour show was sometimes thrilling, sometimes affecting but definitely over-stylized and, at times, downright exhausting.

If you go Christina Aguilera performs at 7:30 p.m. April 28 at Baltimore's 1st Mariner Arena. Tickets are $51.50-$87. Call 410-347-2020 or go to baltimorearena.com.
