York Road lanes to close today

April 02, 2007

Up to two lanes of southbound York Road just north of Cold Spring Lane will be closed today and tomorrow so work crews can repair a broken 36-inch water main.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, the lane closest to the curb will be closed. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow, city transportation officials say, they will close an additional lane to accommodate construction equipment.

Southbound motorists will use the center turn lane to get past Cold Spring Lane, and vehicles heading north and south will be prohibited from turning left onto either direction of Cold Spring Lane.

Transportation officials are advising motorists to use alternate routes such as North Charles Street or The Alameda.
