Meghan Kathryn Harkins, daughter of Edgar I. and Nancy D. Harkins of Whiteford, and Philip Charles Boyer, son of Charles Boyer and Jacqueline and Gerald Williams of Reading, Pa. were married on December 2, 2006 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Baltimore. Father John Williamson officiated the Nuptial Mass. Jared Taylor did the first scripture reading. Liz Johnson read the second scripture, and Darlene Hetinger read the Prayer of the Faithful. Janet and Cliff Smyers, godparents of the bride, presented the offertory gifts. The Matron of Honor was Larisa Kamp. Bridesmaids included Erin Wiley and Kristin Kober, sisters of the bride, and Erin Kremer, Amy Garland, and Kristyn Dawson, friends of the bride. The Best Man was Kevin Gordon. Groomsmen included Jeremy Sansbury, Steven Boyer, Chad Craddock, Costas Kleopa, and John Mele. Special Ushers were Christopher Wiley, Jeremy Kober, Christopher Gibeau, and David Johnson. Aidan Wiley, nephew of the bride, was the Ring Bearer. Betsy Crowl presided over the guest book. After the ceremony a reception was held at the American Visionary Art Museum. The bride is a 1999 graduate of North Harford High School and has a bachelors degree in English from Towson University. She is a Hospital Services Coordinator for the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland. The groom has a bachelors degree in economics and a masters degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. He is a Financial Advisor for Smith Barney in Baltimore. The couple celebrated their honeymoon in Aitutaki, on the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. They live in Federal Hill in Baltimore City.
