The county health department said yesterday that a rabid cat was found in Parkville and urged anyone who might have had contact with the animal to seek medical attention.
The cat was found in the 8700 block of Emge Road. Known in the neighborhood as "Stripe," the feral cat was a black domestic short hair with white paws and white stripe on its face.
Health department officials said anyone who had contact with the rabid cat from March 10 to March 24 should seek medical attention and notify the health department at 410-887-2724 during business hours. Animals that had contact should also receive medical attention.
